For about a month and a half ago, I started looking for best and most recommended skincare products suitable for my skin type and just recently, I was introduced to Prima Sassy Belle, a 100% Filipino-owned direct-selling company that primarily focuses on providing must haves beauty, health and wellness products which varies from slimming coffee and juice, healthy beverages, cosmetics, fragrances, and whitening skin care products. Their goal is to satisfy each customer’s desire for achieving beauty inside and out. And they were generous enough to send me three (3) products of my choice and try them first hand: Luminance Facial Toner, Hannah, and Margaux perfume.
Toner, for those who haven’t heard yet, is a clear watery skincare product that should follow cleanser and go before moisturizer. This essentially prepares your skin to absorb the next product that you’ll be applying. So, whether you have dry, oily, sensitive or combination type of skin, you’ll probably need some toner. Which is why, as I am still on the process of finding out what toner would best work for me, I was so excited to try this Luminance Facial Toner of Prima. This claims to be an anti-aging formula that cleanses the skin and shrinks the appearance of pores, removes the dust, pollution, and impurities. Most of all, moisturizes, whitens and reduces the appearance of dark spots. And I must say, this one doesn’t sting a bit and smells way better than the other toner I’ve tried and that’s pretty impressive for me.
This facial toner amazingly removes excess dirt even after cleansing my face. I loved how my skin feels refreshed and smooth after application. With regards to the whitening effect, it’s actually not too visible which is just fine with me as I’m not aiming for a whiter skin. I’m fine with being naturally morena though.
However, I was so shocked when I noticed my acne grew in number after almost one week of using this product. And it kind of alarmed the “Vain Mae” in me because it’s my first time to have so many pimples again after more than three (3) years. And that’s the time for me to realize that I failed to check on the ingredients used on this product before applying it on my face and when I did, I can only do an OA face palm after finding out that it actually contains Kojic Acid. Something that my skin can’t simply take. Reason why I never used kojic soap again after my first try several years ago.
So, lesson learned not just for me but for everyone. Always check the ingredients used in every first time to try products.
The two succeeding products might not be a skincare related but I would still want to include here as I also love them which you might also want to try from Prima Sassy Belle as their perfumes offers a fine quality and long lasting fragrances inspired from the most famous essences made in France. With 25% oil concentration, this will keep you smell good all day long.
The first one is the Prima’s PF10, Hannah Eu de Parfum which is their own version of Lanvin Marry Me perfume. This specific product is presented with a floral composition based on luminous tonic, mixed of bitter Tunisian orange and sensual essences of Sambac juice wrapped in a sweet zest of peach and sophisticated jasmine tea aromas.
It honestly smells a little strong for my liking. The reason why I chose this one is because I really want to try sweet scented perfume as it smells so lady-like for me since I had long wished to be a prim and proper kikay but then I failed miserably on my first attempt. Hahaha. So sad for me. Lol.

The second and last product I received from Prima is the PF11 Margaux. Their D&G Light Blue version of perfume. A casual yet breezy, sparkling fruity-floral scent with a mix of mouth-watering citrus smell derived from fresh notes of lime and cedar that evokes the spirit of summer.
What can I say? The first thing that impressed me as I opened the package is their amazingly classy packaging from the cute pink accented boxes up to the thick glass bottle. It gave me that wow, it doesn’t look budget friendly factor. Something which will actually make it a perfect gift idea just in time for the upcoming holiday season. And as for the size and amount, I think it would just suit the liking of any beauty explorers and expert hoarders and somehow justifies its price.
